01
Getting started
The extension starts on its own as soon as you open a Skoop page. There is no account and no initial setup.
Before you start
Skoop Filters is an extension, a small program added to your browser. It works on a computer, with Chrome or Firefox 128 and up. It does not work on mobile.
On the home page, the Chrome Web Store and Firefox Add-ons buttons still say “coming soon”.
Skoop Filters is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Skroutz. It runs entirely in your browser: it sends nothing to any server.
Open a Skoop category
- Go to Skroutz Skoop.
- Choose a category, or run a search. For example graphics cards.
- Wait a moment. The filters column and the unified list appear on their own.
It makes no difference whether you opened a category or a search: it works on both.
What you see on the page
- The filters column: this is where you narrow down what you want. More in Filters.
- The toolbar: shows how many products you see (“X of Y products”, «X από Y προϊόντα»), lets you change the sorting, and has the Original view button.
- The cards: they are the normal Skoop cards, with the same style and the same cart.
02
The unified list
Skoop shows 48 listings per page. Skoop Filters downloads all the pages, calmly and slowly, and shows them together in one list that scrolls continuously.
How to use it
- Scroll down. Listings keep loading, with no page changes.
- Change the sorting from the dropdown in the toolbar. The options are:
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Newest first («Νεότερα πρώτα») | The most recent listings come first. |
| Lowest price («Χαμηλότερη τιμή») | From the cheapest to the most expensive. |
| Highest price («Υψηλότερη τιμή») | From the most expensive to the cheapest. |
| Best deal (vs new) («Καλύτερη προσφορά (έναντι καινούριου)») | Listings that are cheapest compared with the new price come first. |
| Recent price drop («Πρόσφατη πτώση τιμής») | Listings whose price dropped most recently come first. |
| € per GB («€ ανά GB») | Price per unit. The unit depends on the category (e.g. GB), and the option only exists in categories that have one. |
- Go back to normal Skoop whenever you like by pressing Original view («Αρχική προβολή»).
How the list refreshes
The next time you open the same list, the extension remembers the previous load and re-downloads only the first pages it needs, usually just one. That is why it opens fast.
Every 30 minutes a full scan runs automatically, meaning all the pages are downloaded again. If you want to do it yourself right now, press the Full scan («Πλήρες σκαν») button in the toolbar (its tooltip says “Full scan: re-download all pages”, «Πλήρες σκαν: ξανακατέβασμα όλων των σελίδων»). That also catches price changes on older listings.
The product specs indicator
Some filters need each product's specs, the technical details written on the listing's page. The extension downloads them in the background. In the toolbar you see a progress indicator that says “Product specs the filters need” («Χαρακτηριστικά προϊόντων (specs) που χρειάζονται τα φίλτρα»).
- Press Pause («Παύση») if you want to stop the download for a while.
- Press Resume («Συνέχεια») to start it again.
- Press Load specs for all («Φόρτωσε χαρακτηριστικά για όλα») if you want it to fetch everything now. Before it starts, it asks you and shows how many requests it needs.
If Skroutz is slow to respond, the indicator may say waiting, paused or stopped. See Something not working?.
The list goes up to 40 pages. If a category has more (about 1,900 listings), the rest is left out. Narrow the results with filters or search.
03
Filters
The filters column lets you narrow the list by brand, price, condition and much more. Next to each option it shows how many listings it will give you.
How to filter
- Pick an option in any section. The list narrows right away.
- Add more options. Filters work together and the numbers next to them update.
- To start over, press Clear filters («Καθαρισμός φίλτρων»).
The sections of the column
| Section | What it does |
|---|---|
| Price («Τιμή») | A histogram (how many listings each price range has), a slider and From («Από») / To («Έως») fields. Drag the slider or type the amounts. |
| Condition («Κατάσταση») | Pick one or more: New («Καινούριο»), Like new («Ελάχιστα χρησιμοποιημένο»), Used («Μεταχειρισμένο»). |
| Seller and shipping («Πωλητής και αποστολή») | Trusted seller and Free shipping («Δωρεάν μεταφορικά»). Free shipping appears once the product details have loaded. |
| Published («Δημοσιεύθηκε») | All («Όλες»), Today («Σήμερα»), Last 3 days («Τελευταίες 3 ημέρες»), Last week («Τελευταία εβδομάδα»), Last month («Τελευταίος μήνας»). |
| Listings («Αγγελίες») | Appears when it makes sense. It has: Only new since last visit («Μόνο νέες από την τελευταία επίσκεψη»), Only where I have made an offer («Μόνο όπου έχω στείλει προσφορά»), Hide sold («Απόκρυψη πωληθέντων»). |
| Changes since scan («Αλλαγές από σκαν») | Shows listings that are new or changed price (↓ dropped, ↑ rose) since an earlier scan that you choose. See below. |
| Attributes («Χαρακτηριστικά») | Filters that build themselves: brand, model, memory, capacity, size and anything else that fits the category. |
The “Attributes” build themselves
The extension reads the listing titles and, once they load, each product's details, and builds the filters on its own. You set up nothing and it works in any category.
For 15 groups of categories there are also ready-made profiles with filters that cannot be worked out automatically, such as the platform for games, sizes for clothes or the set for Pokémon. See the All features page for the list.
What a “scan” is in “Changes since scan”
A scan is each of your visits to a list that happens more than 30 minutes after the previous one. In the Changes since scan section pick All («Όλες»), Previous scan («Προηγούμενο σκαν») or “N scans ago” («N σκαν πριν»), and you will see only what changed since then.
The date in “Published”
The date is first estimated from the listing's photo and then corrected once the details load. To find the exact cut-off, the extension makes a few targeted requests.
The column's buttons
- Clear filters: removes all filters.
- Show filters («Εμφάνιση φίλτρων») / Hide filters («Απόκρυψη φίλτρων»): opens or closes the column.
- Open all sections («Άνοιγμα όλων των ενοτήτων») / Collapse all sections («Σύμπτυξη όλων των ενοτήτων»): opens or closes all sections at once.
- A badge with a number shows how many filters you have active.
If a listing is still waiting for its details, it is not silently hidden. Press Include those still loading (+N) («Συμπερίληψη όσων φορτώνουν ακόμα (+N)») to see it too.
04
Search
The Search within results («Αναζήτηση στα αποτελέσματα») field searches inside the listings you already see. You can type words you want, words you do not want and exact phrases.
How to search
- Click the field. The example it shows is “Search: rtx 4070 -mining” («Αναζήτηση: rtx 4070 -mining»).
- Type what you want. The list narrows as you type.
- To empty it, press Clear search («Καθαρισμός αναζήτησης»).
What you type and what it does
| You type | What it does |
|---|---|
rtx 4070 | Finds listings that contain all the words, in any order. Upper or lower case does not matter, nor do Greek accents. It also matches parts of words. |
-mining | Hides listings that contain this word. |
"low profile" | Finds listings that contain exactly this phrase, with the words together and in this order. |
-"low profile" | Hides listings that contain this phrase. |
/rtx\s*40\d0/ | Regular expression: a “pattern” for advanced users that matches many spellings at once. Upper or lower case does not matter. If it is not valid, it is ignored and the field tells you so. |
-/rtx\s*40\d0/ | Hides listings that match the pattern. |
rtx 4070 -mining "low profile" /regex/ | Everything together in one search. |
Three examples
- Want an RTX 4070 without mining and only low profile? Type
rtx 4070 -mining "low profile". - Want listings that say «κάρτα» (card), however it is written with accents? Type
καρτα. It finds both «κάρτα» and «ΚΑΡΤΑ». - Want any RTX 40xx, with or without a space (RTX 4070, RTX4080)? Type
/rtx\s*40\d0/.
Start simple, with two words. Add -word only for what you see that you do not want. The regular expression is optional: you do not need it to search well.
05
Saving and sharing
Save the filters you picked so you can find them again, or send your search to a friend with a link.
Save your filters
- Pick the filters you want.
- Open the Saved filters («Αποθηκευμένα φίλτρα») section in the column.
- Type a name in the Filter name («Όνομα φίλτρου») field and save them.
- Next time, pick the name from the list and your filters come back.
To delete a saved filter, press the x next to it.
Saved filters belong to each list separately. What you save in graphics cards does not show up in laptops.
Send your filters with a link
The filters you picked are written into the page's address, after #skf=. You do not need to do anything.
- Pick the filters you want.
- Copy the address from your browser's address bar.
- Send it to a friend, or add it to your bookmarks.
For your friend to see the same filters, they need the extension too.
06
Notifications
Tell Skoop Filters what you are looking for and it will notify you when something new turns up or a price drops. You do not need to keep Skroutz open.
Way 1
For a search with filters
Good when you are looking for something, for example “used RTX 4070 up to €450”, and want to know when new matching listings appear.
- Pick the filters and the search you want in the column.
- Open the Notifications («Ειδοποιήσεις») section of the column.
- Press Notify me about these results («Ειδοποίησέ με για αυτά τα αποτελέσματα»).
- Choose a name, how often to check (from 15 minutes to 24 hours) and what you want to be told about.
- Save the notification.
For whatever the list shows at that moment, you will not be notified. It counts as already known. You will only hear about what comes after.
The events you can choose are:
- New listings («Νέες αγγελίες»)
- Price drop («Πτώση τιμής»)
- Price increase («Αύξηση τιμής») (optional)
- Sold listings («Αγγελίες που πουλήθηκαν») (also covers those that disappeared)
Way 2
For one specific listing (🔔 and target price)
Good when you have found a product you like and want to know when its price drops, or when it is sold.
- Hover your mouse over the card's photo.
- Press the 🔔 that appears.
- Choose what you want to know and, if you like, type a price in the Notify when the price drops to (€) («Ειδοποίηση όταν η τιμή πέσει στα (€)») field.
The extension checks the price and whether the listing still exists. Once it is sold, it stops watching it.
The events you can choose are:
- Price drop
- Price increase
- Sold or removed («Πουλήθηκε ή αφαιρέθηκε»)
- The target price, optional: it notifies you when the price reaches this amount or goes below it.
Manage from the extension icon
Press the Skoop Filters icon in your browser. A window opens with all your notifications, and each one has its own buttons.
- “Name” («Όνομα»)
Every notification has a name. Type over it to change it.
- The switch
On means Active («Ενεργή»). Off means Paused («Σε παύση»): it checks nothing until you turn it back on.
- “Check interval”
How often to check. The shortest option is 15 minutes and the longest is 24 hours.
- “Check hours”
Choose All day («Όλο το 24ωρο») or Only during hours… («Μόνο σε ώρες…»). With the second one, From («Από») and To («Έως») appear: it will only check and notify you within those hours.
Example: you do not want notifications at night, from 22:00 to 07:00. Set From to 07:00 and To to 22:00.
- “What to notify me about” («Τι θα με ειδοποιεί»)
Click to open it and choose which events you want (new listings, price drop, etc.). For a notification on one listing it also shows the target price.
- “Check now”
Checks immediately, without waiting. When it finishes, it says “Check finished: no changes.” («Έλεγχος ολοκληρώθηκε: καμία αλλαγή.»), or “N changes: check your notifications.” («N αλλαγές: έλεγξε τις ειδοποιήσεις.»).
- “History”
History (N) shows what the notification has found so far. Press Hide history («Απόκρυψη ιστορικού») to close it.
- “Open” («Άνοιγμα»)
Opens the notification's list or listing. Clicking a notification you received does the same.
- “Test”
Sends a test notification so you can see that it arrives. If you do not see it, the window says: “A test notification was sent. If you do not see it, check your operating system's notifications for the browser.” («Στάλθηκε δοκιμαστική ειδοποίηση. Αν δεν τη δεις, έλεγξε τις ειδοποιήσεις του λειτουργικού για τον browser.»)
- “Delete”
Removes the notification for good.
You also find the same things in the Notifications section of the filters column: an active or paused switch, Edit («Επεξεργασία»), delete, and opening the list with the notification's filters.
When they run
- They run in the background, as long as the browser is open. You do not need a Skroutz tab open.
- When the browser is closed, they do not run. When you open it, they make up the checks that were missed.
- Clicking the notification opens the listing, or the list with the filters already applied.
The limits, in plain words
- Shortest interval: 15 minutes. It cannot be more frequent.
- If Skroutz slows you down: when it blocks you temporarily (errors 429 or 403), the extension doubles the time between checks, up to 6 hours.
- Several notifications on the same list: they share the same download and do not request the page separately.
- Filters with attributes (e.g. chipset): they need each listing's details. For new ones, the extension downloads them in the background, up to 6 per check, with random pauses. If it does not finish in time, the listing comes in the next check.
- A list over 40 pages (about 1,900 listings): it is cut off. In that case “sold” notifications are not sent, because a listing may simply be beyond the limit.
If a filter can no longer be applied (e.g. the list changed and the option no longer exists), the notification shows a warning and sends nothing, so it does not flood you. Open the list so the attributes load again.
In Firefox, if the window shows a Give permission («Δώσε άδεια») banner, press the button to allow skroutz.gr. See Something not working?.
07
Card badges
Small badges appear on the cards and tell you something useful at a glance, such as whether the listing is new or its price dropped.
| Badge | What it means | When it is missing |
|---|---|---|
| New («Νέο») | The listing is new since the last time you visited. | It does not appear on listings that were already there on your previous visit. |
| ↓ | The price dropped. You can sort by Recent price drop («Πρόσφατη πτώση τιμής»). | It is not there if the price has not dropped. |
| −X% vs new («έναντι καινούριου») | How much cheaper the listing is than the new price, according to Skoop's catalog. The Best deal («Καλύτερη προσφορά») sorting is based on this. | It appears only when the reference price is reliable. Otherwise it is not there. |
| € per GB («€ ανά GB») | The price per unit. The unit changes with the category, e.g. GB. | Only in categories where such a unit makes sense. |
| ⚠ catalog mismatch («ασυμφωνία καταλόγου») | The listing does not match the catalog product. Treat the “vs new” figure with care. | It does not appear when the listing matches the catalog. |
| Publication date | You see when the listing was published. It is estimated first from the photo and corrected when the listing's page loads. | It appears on every listing. |
Do not like the badges? Turn them off in the settings, under Badges on cards (new, price drop, discount…) («Badges πάνω στις κάρτες (νέο, πτώση τιμής, έκπτωση…)»). See Display settings.
08
Offers
If you have sent an offer to a seller, the listing's card shows it, and you also see their answer without opening the listing.
What you see on the card
- My offer 400 € («Η προσφορά μου 400 €») (in bold orange letters): the offer you sent.
- Counter-offer 510 € («Αντιπρόταση 510 €») (in purple): the seller answered with their own price. The card then shows the original price struck through and the price you would pay. The full text appears in the tooltip when you hover over it.
The amounts here are examples.
How it updates
The extension reads the status from the listing's page, right after you send the offer and then every 15 minutes while you wait for an answer.
See only where you have made an offer
- Find the Listings («Αγγελίες») section in the filters column.
- Choose Only where I have made an offer («Μόνο όπου έχω στείλει προσφορά»).
The Listings section appears only when it makes sense. If you do not see it, you do not have any listings with an offer yet.
If the seller has written on Skoop that they “do not accept offers”, the extension ignores it and changes nothing on the card.
09
Display settings
Change the text size, the cards and the density so everything reads comfortably on your screen. Changes are saved automatically.
How to change them
- Open the Settings («Ρυθμίσεις») section in the filters column.
- Change whatever you like. There is no save button.
| Setting | Options |
|---|---|
| Text size («Μέγεθος γραμμάτων») | Small («Μικρά»), Normal («Κανονικά»), Large («Μεγάλα»), Extra large («Πολύ μεγάλα γράμματα»). |
| Product card size («Μέγεθος καρτών προϊόντων») | Small («Μικρές»), Normal («Κανονικές»), Large («Μεγάλες»), Custom («Προσαρμοσμένο»). |
| Density («Πυκνότητα») | Comfortable («Άνετη») or Compact («Συμπαγής»). |
| Filters open from the start («Φίλτρα ανοιχτά από την αρχή») | All («Όλα»), or a number. Sets how many filter sections open on their own. |
| Badges on cards («Badges πάνω στις κάρτες») | On or off. Turn it off if you do not want the new, price drop and discount badges. |
| Load product specs in the background («Φόρτωση χαρακτηριστικών προϊόντων στο παρασκήνιο») | A switch that turns the download of specs on or off. See the unified list. |

Something not working?
Pick the question that sounds most like yours. If you cannot find it, write to us (see the bottom of the page).
I cannot see the filters column
Try these in order:
- Make sure you are on a Skoop category or search page (skroutz.gr/skoop). It appears there on its own.
- Make sure you are on a computer, with Chrome or Firefox 128 and up. It does not work on mobile.
- If you have pressed Original view («Αρχική προβολή»), you have gone back to normal Skoop. Open the category page again.
- If the column is hidden, press Show filters («Εμφάνιση φίλτρων»).
- In Firefox, check whether the icon's window shows the Give permission («Δώσε άδεια») banner (see below).
Notifications are not arriving
Check in order:
- Is the browser closed? Notifications do not run while it is closed. Open it and they will make up the checks that were missed.
- Your operating system's notifications: in your computer's settings, allow notifications for the browser.
- Press Test («Δοκιμή») in the icon's window. If you do not see a test notification, the problem is in your operating system's notifications.
- Is it paused? Check whether the notification's switch says Paused («Σε παύση») and turn it back on.
- Check hours («Ώρες ελέγχου»): if you chose Only during hours… («Μόνο σε ώρες…»), it will not check outside those hours.
If nothing changes, press Check now («Έλεγχος τώρα») and see what it says.
In Firefox I see “Give permission”
In Firefox, access to skroutz.gr is optional, which is why the extension asks you for it. Open the icon's window and press the Give permission button.
Otherwise go to about:addons, choose the extension, open Permissions and allow skroutz.gr.
Some listings do not show up in the filters
They are most likely still waiting for their specs. Some filters need details that download in the background.
In the filters column press Include those still loading (+N) («Συμπερίληψη όσων φορτώνουν ακόμα (+N)»). N tells you how many listings are waiting. You can also press Load specs for all («Φόρτωσε χαρακτηριστικά για όλα») in the toolbar to fetch everything now.
The notification shows a warning
It means a filter of the notification can no longer be applied. For example, the option no longer exists because the list changed. So it does not flood you, the notification sends nothing.
Open the list so the attributes load again.
Skroutz asks for verification or shows waiting and paused
The extension requests pages slowly and stops when Skroutz limits requests. In the toolbar you may see “waiting”, “paused” or “stopped”.
- Wait a little. When Skroutz cuts it off, the extension backs off on its own, and after 3 blocks in a row it pauses.
- You can stop it yourself with Pause («Παύση») and continue with Resume («Συνέχεια»).
- The extension does not solve CAPTCHAs and does not bypass any Skroutz check.
There is no guarantee that Skroutz will never ask you for verification. If it does, it comes from Skroutz itself.
Listings are missing in a very large list
The list goes up to 40 pages, about 1,900 listings. Anything beyond that does not load.
Narrow the results with filters or search, or pick a more specific category. In such a list, “sold” notifications are not sent either, because a listing may simply be beyond the limit.
I want normal Skoop
Press the Original view button in the toolbar. It immediately restores Skoop's normal view. You can do it whenever you like.
How do I report a problem
Email us at vasilispapg@outlook.com and tell us what happened, on which page, and what you expected to see.
